The festival is a fundraiser for local Aboriginal women's group the Djiyagan Dhanbaan Movement.
The group’s founder Rhonda Radley said the festival is about the unification of women and celebrating the feminine.
“We start sister circles, then we start nurturing and supporting each other,” she said.
Ms Radley said women should encourage the strength within themselves.
“Sometimes we get distracted as we’re doing lots of things us women,” she said.
“We’re raising a family, we’re working, we’re looking after the man.
“Sometimes we forget us in that process so it’s about women coming back, celebrating with each other and what it means to be a woman.”
Community stalls, an art gallery, bush tucker tastings, belly dancing, yoga, meditation, cultural workshops, entertainment and a healing hub are some of the activities which will be present on the day.
Ms Radley said the festival will provide an opportunity for women to relax in a loving, safe space.
The festival will also provide a space for Aboriginal women to showcase their culture including language and practices.
The Djiyagan Dhanbaan Movement has been operational for four years and members have been working hard to engage the wider community with their stories.
Ms Radley said the women’s group nurtures the business of women.
“Working with young girls, young women, women and older women,” she said.
“We’re looking at identifying their wants or needs.”
Ms Radley said social interaction is important especially for Aboriginal women who come from different areas to the Port Macquarie-Hastings to connect to the local group.
The event is on May 4 from 9.30am until 2.30pm at the Birpai Local Aboriginal Land Council on Aston St, Port Macquarie.
Entry to the festival is by a gold coin or donation with funds going toward the Djiyagan Dhanbaan Movement.
Ms Radley thanked the community for its support.
