Bestwick was presented with a signed Matildas jersey as part of female football week after she was awarded the female administrator of the year.
“It’s an award recognised by the FFA and it was a lovely surprise,” she said.
She is seen as an asset to the Women’s Premier League and works tirelessly to ensure all players have the assistance they need.
“I just do what I do through being involved with the game, but it was an honour to receive it,” Bestwick said.
“Thanks should go to my husband Tony and the rest of my family for putting up with what I do because it does require a lot of time and effort.”
She said while it was her award, there were others who contributed.
“It’s not just my award, it’s those parents who come down and help set up the nets which makes my job a lot easier.”
