If the vision becomes reality, these tentative steps could eventually lead to a full blown Dog Bakery.
But little steps first.
Mrs O’Brien says four employees are involved in the assembly and packaging of their new products from the Jindalee Road warehouse facility.
“We’ve received an excellent response to our initial foray into the dog treats,” she said.
“The feedback has been great and sales are moving along. There was plenty of interest generated on Facebook when we launched on Monday.
“Our staff are very positive about the product and are enjoying doing something new and a little bit exciting.”
The idea has been ‘floating around’ for some time with a Dog Bakery a genuine prospect.
The products are all natural – with no added sugar or salt – while the recipe took two months of testing to perfect. The cooking is done within all relevant Standards.
While the dog treats are the central product, there are also several birthday cake options available too.
“We are encouraging dog owners to bring their pets to the Jindalee Road business, 8.30am until 3.30pm Monday to Friday and have a trial of our product,” she said.
“We would love to get your feedback.”
