Former Wauchope RSL cricketer Nick Cutler has finished the 2016/17 season in 10th position in the Sydney first grade batting averages.
The Western Suburbs batsman amassed 708 runs at 50.57 with a top score of 110.
The 21-year-old was rewarded for his strong performances with selection in the NSW second XI for a match against the touring Canterbury provincial side from New Zealand.
Cutler will spend the off season playing in the top tier Ireland championships.
Former Taree and now NSW player Nick Larkin topped the Sydney first grade batting averages with 886 runs at 88.60 with a top score of 206 not out.
Former Port Macquarie legspinner Jonathon Cook also had a strong season and picked up 28 wickets at 22.61 to be placed 14th in the bowling aggregate.
Cook took over the reins of captaining Western Suburbs after former Australian captain Michael Clarke captained the team for the first couple of matches of the season.
