An Afternoon Teal for 30-40 hosted by Rosie Adams was expected to raise close to $2000 for ovarian cancer research and acknowledged the awareness raising campaign across the nation this month.
All money raised goes to Ovarian Cancer Australia.
Mrs Adams’ grandmother passed away three years ago from ovarian cancer.
Ms Adams said women should regularly consult their doctor about any health issue they might have.
“No matter how small they may think it is,” she said.
The most common symptoms for ovarian cancer are abdominal pain, bloating and frequent urination.
