The initiative is part of Back to Business Week 2017 which commences Monday, February 27.
A series of local events is set to take place that are designed to help start, grow and innovate in local business, with these events providing a range of quality and personalised support services.
Council will host a series of pop-up shops in Port Macquarie, Wauchope and Laurieton. These drop-in hubs are the perfect opportunity to chat and catch up with your local Chamber of Commerce, Business Connect Advisor and Council’s Economic Development team.
The Pop-Up Shops will be held at:
- Port Macquarie - Monday 27 February: 10am to 4pm at Port Central
- Wauchope - Tuesday 28 February: 4pm to 7pm at Bain Park
- Laurieton - Wednesday 1 March: 4pm to 7pm at 70 Bold Street
“In addition to the pop-up shops, a highlight of Back to Business Week will be a special Small Business Rules event on Thursday, March 2 from 6pm, and we are fortunate to have special guest and business guru Mathew Dickerson join us for the evening,” said council acting director Liesa Davies.
Mathew is founder of Small Business Ru!es: the 52 essential rules to be successful in business, and author of the SLAM DVD.
This is a free event which is open to business of all sizes, and participants can expect to receive lots of great business tips, and be inspired by Mathew’s engaging presentation style.
“Council is encouraging our local businesses to get involved in Back to Business Week, and looks forward to connecting with as many businesses as possible to learn more about their organisation and celebrate their contribution to our region’s economy,” Ms Davies said.
