The volunteer group has donated two height adjustable beds valued at $3415.50.
The Fracture Clinic provides outpatient orthopaedic intervention and follow-up services for hospital patients from throughout the Hastings and Macleay region.
Senior Orthopaedic Physiotherapist Zoe Rowlandson said the clinic’s volunteer helpers, Pink Ladies Hilda Phillips and Jenny Dawson, were instrumental in helping to secure the donation.
“We are very grateful to the Pink Ladies for this wonderful donation,” Ms Rowlandson said.
“The beds will replace two older manually controlled models.
“The new beds are high quality, electric height adjustable with a weight capacity of 255 kilograms. They not only assist our Fracture Clinic team in providing high quality patient care but they also improve safety for our staff.
“The Fracture Clinic team is very grateful to the Pink Ladies for such a generous gift, and for providing us with two volunteers who really are part of our team.
“Hilda, who is 81 years old, has volunteered with our clinic for a remarkable 10 years and Jenny has been with us for three years. They are an asset to the clinic and to the many people we treat each week,” Ms Rowlandson said.
