The championships will be held over the next two days, with two Sydney based teams having named strong teams, together with Tamworth, Gleeson and Armidale.
The Mid North Coast Sharks, which includes Hastings players Peter Morris, Greg Hall, John Corcoran, David Chapmen, Bruce Jackson, Tim Ostler and Steve Cass, will be hoping to topple Port Jackson Blue on day one to give themselves a chance to progress through to to the final.
The final will will be played at Wayne Richards Park on Friday.
The championships will commence with a function at The Westport Club at 6pm today (February 22) with guest speaker being former jockey and celebrity Alan Robinson.
All matches will commence at 10am on Thursday.

- Port Jackson Red V Tamworth Gleeson at Wayne Richards Park.
- Port Jackson Blue V Mid North Coast Sharks at Laurieton Oval.
- Tamworth Hazelwood V New England at Oxley Oval.
- Central Coast Cyclones V Mid North Coast Dolphins at Andrews Park.
- Mid North Coast Mud Crabs v Newcastle Lord Taverners at South Kempsey.
