The Sharks head to Coffs Harbour for a nine-a-side tournament which will also feature teams from Cudgen along with Group 3 counterparts Wingham.
Bellingen, Macksville, South Grafton, North Tamworth, Sawtell and two from Coffs Harbour will fight it out.
Sharks coach Wayne Grant said it would be a good way to get some “miles in the legs” before pre-season preparations step up another gear.
“We won’t have a full-strength team going up due to weddings and things like that, but we’ll send up some of the blokes that have been training well so far,” he said.
“You can only take 15 or so up, but it will be a good way to blow out the cobwebs.”
Grant said the Sharks would play a minimum of three games.
“We went up three years ago,” he said.
