The morning race was race three of the summer series, then there was a barbecue lunch, followed by the fourth club championship.
Dave Winter on Spica was the only catamaran for the morning race, and he completed the course with no problems.
Frank O’Rourke and Rohan Nosworthy both sailed at Taree in the Manning Marathon, and Tony Kuhn is still off recovering from an injury he got at the Arrow Cat National Titles.
The morning’s race three for the monohulls had four starters. Kelly Miller and Scott Witchard in Big Bang had a close tussle all race with Simon and Elsa Gandy in Voyager, finishing 14 seconds ahead on Yardstick.
Zac Jeffries sailed Jupiter for the third place, and Grady and Alice McNee in Shearwater had to retire with a broken stay.
In an extremely close handicap result, Jupiter and Big Bang tied for first, and Voyager was just nine seconds behind that.
Spica again completed the course for the points for the catamarans in fourth club championship.
Meanwhile, Frank O’Rourke sailed Dino for a 2nd outright at the Manning Marathon and Rohan Nosworthy also sailed there with his son Charlie on their NS14.
The afternoon race saw Paul Robertson and Rob Barwick in Flembouyant take the win on yardstick.
Next Weekend is race 4 of the summer series with a handicap start at 2pm. Terry Howard is rostered on duty.
