A power outage in Port Macquarie has impacted about 1900 Essential Energy customers at about 12.30pm on January 18.
Essential Energy North Coast community relations manager Rachel Hussell said the outage was caused by a fault on a power line on Boronia Street near the intersection of Heather Street.
There were reports of a loud bang on Boronia Street before the outage.
“Crews investigated and found a blown pothead, which is a pole that connects the overhead and underground network at the northern end of Boronia Street,” she said.
Residents situated on Boronia Street, Settlement Point Road and some on the North Shore were impacted by the outage.
Ms Hussell said crews have connected a generator to provide power to customers in St Agnes Village who remain disconnected from the network.
She said Essential Energy is continuing to investigate options for restoring supply to these customers while repairs commence on the fault in Boronia Street.
