More than 500 people were served at the annual Christmas on the Beach event hosted by Port City Church with the support of the Big Red Bus.
It is the 20th year organisers Max and Karen Davies opened their doors to the public for a Christmas feast and they didn’t disappoint. More than 100 volunteers supported the event selflessly giving up their own Christmas day to ensure those less fortunate, regardless of circumstance, were not alone, left with a full tummy and enjoyed the company of others.
Every year local businesses and individuals donate to the event and in 2016 Port Macquarie-Hastings Council awarded funding through its Community Grants Program.
