Through his dedication to volunteering, Port Macquarie MP Leslie Williams presented Tony with the Premier’s Volunteer Recognition Award for his remarkable service as a volunteer.
Tony says he started volunteering for the suicide prevention service because he wanted to give back to the local community.
Tony’s dedication to suicide prevention can be seen in his commitment to Lifeline Mid Coast where he served two full terms on the board.
He is well known in the Lifeline network and actively participates in Lifeline’s strategic planning.
“I have been very lucky to have Tony’s experience and support. His no nonsense and can do attitude have helped Lifeline Mid Coast become a very respected Lifeline Centre within our Lifeline network across Australia,” said Lifeline CEO Catherine Vaara.
Tony continues to be on the board at Lifeline Mid Coast.
