Bands that will feature on the gig list include metalcore band Convex, Trojans, Lycanthrope, Chromatide and Meridian Theory.
Convex are a band on the rise from Port Macquarie. They formed two years ago, slowly growing from a passion project between mates into something more serious.
Drawing influences from the exploding Australian metalcore scene, Convex aims to put out tracks that people can relate to.
Their debut EP ‘Last Man Standing’ was a culmination of over 18 months of juggling writing music and keeping up with busy personal lives.
“At the end of the day, we're just a bunch of mates making music together and if it means something to at least one person who hears it we've done what we set out to do,” said lead singer Chris Dunn.
Joining Dunn in the band are guitarists Andrew Morrow and Nigel Barnes, bass player Bradley Smee and drummer Ash Pritchard.
They have released and new single called ‘Wolves’ which is available with the free debut EP at their BandCamp page: http://convexau.bandcamp.com/
It will kick off at 5pm on Saturday, December 10 at the Youth Hub, located at 140-142 Horton Street. Tickets cost $5.
It is an all ages event which is strictly drug and alcohol free.
