They will look to hit the ground running, with four of their first six matches to be played at Regional Stadium.
Cross-town rivals, Port Macquarie Sharks have only one home game scheduled in the first six rounds.
Coach Wayne Grant was disappointed to be regularly on the road at the start of the season.
“It’s not ideal, but the positive to that is we will have a lot of home games at the back end which probably suits us,” he said.
“Rather than whinging about not getting a fair deal, it’s no use getting caught up in it.
“We’ll just worry about what we can control and that’s on the footy field.”
Both teams will have to wait until round six for the grand final replay, which is scheduled for May 27.
Each team will play matches both home and away with the grand final set down for August 27.
