Lorger and Brennan tune up for State Cup

The Settlers Inn Men’s Premier League saw state cup-primed Warren Lorger and Tommy Brennan put in strong performances, both crossing the line in Port Workwear's 4-2 victory over Port Premier Plastering.

LDS Tiling was too strong for Telstra Port Central on the back of a Jack Lewis four-try haul winning 8-4.

The remaining games saw Evolution Road 11 – Joyce Constructions 3 and Stoney’s Kitchens 8 – John Oxley Motors 1.

Two tries from Brittney Rudd helped JKM Plumbing to a 7-1 win over GN Painting in the Telstra Shop Port Central Women’s Premier League.

Kara Lewis and Isabella Loyd both grabbed doubles in Port Macquarie Ortho’s 6-2 win over Watsons Caravans.

Laurieton Hotel ran out 5-0 winners over Invisalign PMO.

In the social competition The Untouchables beat The El Paso 8-2, 14’s State Cup won 2-0 over Port Mac United, King and Campbell edged Watsons Caravans 6-4 and Darren Northey Interior Linings won 7-2 against Ol 55’s.

Thursday night’s mixed competition got underway with a high-scoring thriller as Touchy Subjects came out on top of Hastings Physio 7-6. GNP/El Paso recorded a 7-4 win over The Dream Team with a Colleen Nosworthy hat trick.

Other results were: Evolution road 15 – All Sorts 5, Trition 3 – Luke Bullus Painting 3, McGrath Estate Agents 6 – St. Agnes Parish Schools 2, Breakers 10 – Laing and Simmons 5, Constable Print 11 – Sea Salt 2, Ray White Real Estate 6 – Bells Furniture One 6, JKM Plumbing 14 – Sponsor Us 3.
