The articles and photos published in your paper were great, as was the promotion on radio 2MC FM. People's generosity was amazing, and $3,389 was raised for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
A special thank you to our major sponsors: Port City Harley, Protech, Rock Motor Cycles, Port Macquarie Motor Cycles, Mud & Tar Motor Cycles, Hastings Mower Service, Camden Haven Motor Cycles, and Bonny Hills Beach Hotel.
Thanks also to the M&S Print, Wauchope and to the Professionals, Laurieton, for the design for the design and printing of the posters.

Gun logic
Memo to the National Party, the Shooters Party and their friends: everything you say about guns also applies to drugs.
Responsible personal use of drugs does no-one any harm. There are plenty of drug-users who are simply fed up with the government interfering in their lives.
And we know that banning drug use does nothing to stop drug-related crime. So, members of the gun lobby: if you're looking for a large number of people around the whole country who will most definitely support you if you support them.

Thanks for the support
Thanks to the generosity of Coles customers in Port Macquarie, Redkite is now able to assist more families with children affected by cancer.
Coles’ three stores in Port Macquarie combined have raised over $14,200 from customer and team donations, contributing to the $20 million Coles has raised nationwide since 2013.
In addition to customer and team donations, five cents from the sale of every loaf of Coles Brand and Traditional High Top Bread sold in Port Macquarie is donated directly to Redkite.
This support is helping to transform cancer care in Australia.
Every six hours in Australia, a child or young person is diagnosed with cancer. Redkite is the national children’s cancer charity providing social workers and music therapists in hospitals, information and counselling, financial assistance, and education and career support to children, young adults and their families who are impacted by cancer.
We couldn’t do it without the incredibly generous support of Coles, the amazing fundraising efforts of its team and the big-hearted community of Port Macquarie that supports Coles’ activities such as its Christmas card campaign.
I’d like to offer enormous thanks to Coles, its charity champions, team and, importantly, generous customers in Port Macquarie.
Jenni Seton, CEO Redkite
Nats flip-flop
I have called-out the NSW Nationals for flip-flopping on the Native Vegetation Act.
This follows a petition posted on the NSW Nationals website and Facebook page on Sunday saying that the laws are "crippling our farmers" and treating farmers "like second-class citizens on their own land."
If the NSW Nationals were so concerned about Native Vegetation laws they would have supported my colleague Robert Brown's 2014 bill to change those laws and reinstate a farmer's right to clear their own land.
Every single National Party MP stood side-by-side with Labor, The Greens to oppose my bill written by NSW Farmers.
The Nationals wanted to support it but they were just doing what the Liberal Party told them to do, so they opposed it.
