SWIMMING North Coast representatives brought home plenty of bling from the NSW Multi Class Championships, held at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre on Saturday.

“These championships are the highlight of the Multi Class year and swimmers come from all over New South Wales to compete in their class,” said Swimming North Coast (SNC) spokesperson Faye Rowles.
“Five swimmers were entered as SNC and three other entered as their own club. In total 35 medals were won by the eight swimmers. A massive result for such a small squad of swimmers.
“Between the group of five from SNC, they brought home 21 medals and recorded so many personal best times that I lost count. These kids did great, swimming their hearts out.”
The in the SNC squad Sarah McIntosh (Laurieton) won five gold medals, Jamie Plunkett (Grafton) won two gold and three silver, Morgan Jean (Wauchope) won two gold, two silver and one bronze, Clair McIntosh (Laurieton) won three silver and one bronze and Kimberly Goskorn (Port Macquarie) won two bronze. All of these swimmers swim in the S14 (swimming with a disability) classification.
McKinley Armison represented Richmond Valley S8 won five gold, Kelvin Giles (Forster) S6 won four gold and Benjamin Auckram (Lismore Workers) earned two gold and three silver.
“These results were amazing and full credit must go to Ann Pilkie, president of SNC who put a lot of effort into getting this Multi Class squad off the ground and also for receiving a grant to allow this project to follow through,” Faye said.
