The Mid-North Coast Softball Association match between the two Kempsey teams started, but Mother Nature had other ideas and forced players from the diamond.
In overcast conditions OFFS and Diamonds commenced their game, but only half the game was played before the rain came down.
With the field so wet play was difficult for both the teams.
As the score evened out the game ended in a 10-all draw.
OFFS pitcher Mabel Ritchie and her catcher Fiona Witts made a great combination for their team although it wasn’t to be.
With the rain still coming down a decision was made to cancel the next two games for the remainder of the afternoon.
Those included the 2pm match between Warriors and Hanson and the 4pm clash between Enduro and Lakers.
All players will hope for a more weather-friendly Saturday afternoon this weekend.
