The Sovereign Hills community continues to boom and the Hastings Co-op has gotten in on the action.
They have been announced as leaseholders of the new display village café opening later this year at Sovereign Hills.
Hastings Co-op will operate the Stirling Green Café and CEO Allan Gordon said they are looking forward to providing customers with fresh food and great coffee.
“We hope the café will attract not only those looking to build, but tourists and some of the local tradies, so it will be quite a good spot for people to come.” Allan comments.
The café will create four to six jobs with positions ranging from casual to permanent. They will also use local products such as Holy Goat coffee.
“The café is something new that the Co-op hasn’t done before, and it also pushes the Co-op closer towards Port Macquarie as well.”
It is expected that the café will open in October 2016 but that will depend on construction being complete.
The Co-op has found a manager for the café and Trent Shaw is set to be very busy in the upcoming weeks preparing the cafe for its grand opening.
Located on the deck of the new Sovereign Hills sales centre on the corner of Sovereign Drive and Gillman Way. The Cafe will operate seven days a week from 6am.
The café announcement comes as Hastings Co-op prepares to celebrate its 100 year anniversary.
At Stirling Green, there will be outdoor tables and a child-friendly grassy area, fenced off so kids can play safely while you relax with a treat to delight your taste buds.
The cafe due to open in the next two weeks will be popular with locals of the new Sovereign Hills estate excited by the prospect of a local place to hang out. A treat for the locals who previously had to venture further for their coffee.
The menu will be seasonal with the focus on the extensive range of Bago Bluff condiments.
Sweet honey to a chilli jam featuring a unique indigenous herb, the range is bursting with flavour and includes: tomato relish, corn relish, orange infused olive oil, lemon infused olive oil, caramelised balsamic vinegar, quince paste, marmalade and strawberry jam.
