Macquarie clash with Lower Clarence at Harwood in the second round of the McDonalds Country Plate.
The two sides clashed last year in the semi-final with Macquarie emerging victorious after the match was hampered by rain delays.
“In the end we needed to chase about 60 off 23 overs and Coley went out with a broken ankle and smacked four sixes and it was pretty much game over,” Hyde said.
Hyde knows his side will have to play their best with a pitch expected to be a batsman’s paradise.
“The pitch was a bit like the WACA last year,” he said.
“Two of our top five probably need to get 50 to 100 because Lower Clarence are the best side I’ve ever played against.”
Lower Macleay progressed to round two after belting Port Pirates a fortnight ago.
Hastings will face Macleay at South West Rocks in round two of the McDonald’s Country Cup also on Sunday.
