Lessa and Glen Hord have six beautiful children and sadly three of them have chronic life-threatening illnesses.
Jo, Zoe and Maddison all struggle with their conditions on a daily basis.
The biggest financial burden is the ongoing treatment for their eldest daughter Maddison.
She contracted neuroborreliosis, otherwise known as Lyme Disease, in 2008.
However, it was misdiagnosed and left untreated for seven years, making treating this disease much more complicated with greater risks and extreme consequences as times goes on.
They must travel to Brisbane four times a week for treatment, a 12 hour return trip.
The luncheon will feature guest speaker Steve Edge, a former rugby league footballer of the 1970s and 1980s who played for the New South Wales Blues.
He also played for the St. George Dragons' and Parramatta Eels, winning multiple premierships with each club.
Also at the luncheon will be Men of League legends Johnny King, Noel Kelly, recent hall of fame recipient Harry Wells and more.
It will be held at the Wauchope RSL Club on Saturday November 26.
It starts at 12 noon for a 12.30pm start. Price is $40 per person which includes two schooners.
