This Sunday they will hold their “women-only” event at McInherney Park on Sunday.
The annual women’s triathlon is open to club members, non-members and juniors and is held in a fun and supportive environment.
Club president, David Craddock, said the event was a great fitness challenge for the females who would be ably supported by the club’s male members.
“It’s a fantastic way for women to experience a triathlon with lots of encouragement along the way,” Craddock said.
The race will be staged over the club’s shorter course of a 300m swim, 9km bike ride and 2.5km run – an ideal distance for first-timers.
Non-members can register for $10 as individuals or $15 for a team entry if you’d like to share the experience with friends.
The race starts at 7am after registration from 6.15am to 6.45am. A junior race for primary school children aged 10 years and over begins at 6.50am.
