The accident occurred at about 10.45pm along the coastal road, 100 metres north of the Flynns Street intersection.
Sergeant Ben Hall of the Mid North Coast Local Area Command said it appears the 37-year-old driver of vehicle has side-swiped a car and a mini van with an attached trailer, causing his vehicle to flip and land on its side.
Fire and Rescue NSW and SES volunteers attended the scene to free the man who was trapped in his vehicle for a short time.
NSW Ambulance transported the man to hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Extensive damage was caused to the other vehicles which were parked on the side of the road.
Sgt Hall said investigations will continue to determine if alcohol played a factor in the cause of the crash.
