SOME 200 free ice creams are up for grabs until October 31 thanks to a partnership between headspace Port Macquarie and Baskin Robbins.

You just need to grab a token from headspace at 10-12 Short Street and redeem it for a free ice cream at Baskin Robbins.

Baskin Robbins will also be turning their waffle cones green to show support for Mental Health Month and headspace day.

Every year, a quarter of all young people in Australia will experience mental health issues and headspace is there to help.

Headspace Port Macquarie centre manager Nicole Kosseris said access to services gave young people the best chance for a positive future.

Community engagement officer Amy Scholes said headspace day on October 11 was about ensuring young people had access to youth friendly mental health services, no matter where they lived.

Headspace Port Macquarie is a free service for young people aged 12 to 25.
