The cup carnival returns to the social calendar after the 2015 event was held over because of much-needed trackworks.
The big race fever starts to build on Thursday night with the Port Macquarie Cup Calcutta at the Settlers Inn Hotel from 6.30pm.
Calcutta host is Gary Kliese with guests Terry Lamb and Lenny Pascoe.
Friday's carnival features eight races with total prize money of $340,000.
The first race jumps at 1.35pm and entry is $20 per person.

The carnival continues on Saturday with the Steeline Raceday featuring seven races with prizemoney topping $140,000.
The first race is at 2.01pm and coincides with Caulfield Guineas Day and Spring Champion Stakes Day at Randwick.
