Police officers, family members and community representatives gathered at St Agnes’ Catholic Parish Church on September 29 to mark National Police Remembrance Day.
Mid North Coast Local Area Commander Superintendent Paul Fehon said it was wonderful seeing many community members, the RSL Sub-branch, Retired Police Association and the families of fallen officers standing together to remember this most solemn moment.
“The police force is always indebted to the support of the community during these most difficult times and it helps provide our officers with the strength to protect and serve them each and every day,” he said.
The day is a time to remember officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty and police officers who have died through illness or other circumstances.
