From 10am kids will be able to decorate and fly kites, ensuring plenty of practice time before the 11am competition.
At 12pm the best made kite will be awarded, followed by the open kite flying section of the festival.
This will be followed by the ultimate highlight of the day – the King of the Kite competition at 1pm where the best will be crowned.
Kites will be available to purchase for $10, or you can bring your own.
Lions Club secretary Colin Hardwick would love to see the event become an annual one.
“We’d love to make this an annual event, partly because it is at Lions Park as well as the fact there are no other kite activities,” he said.
