Cudmore believes there has been a destiny about the boys from the Shire all year.
“The Sharks will win because they haven’t won one before and it’s their time,” he said.
“They’ve got Valentine Holmes and Ben Barba in attack along with the experience of Paul Gallen and Luke Lewis.”
The Port Sharks coach said the Storm had an ideal style of play for a grand final, but he felt the Sharks had the ability to take them out of their comfort zone.
“Melbourne are just so structured in the way they play, but Cronulla have the ability to shut those plays down,” he said.
He tipped Wade Graham to claim the Clive Churchill Medal.
“He’s the type of player who can come up with two or three try assists or he could score one himself.”
Murray said the Storm would always be a chance in a grand final with Cameron Smith and Cooper Cronk directing them around the park.
Jesse Bromwich would lay the platform up front, but he too liked the Sharks.
“Melbourne have been a class team for the last five or six years,” he said.
“I think Cronulla will be desperate to get the win and they had a slump before the finals, but they’ve got that class factor.”
He tipped Sharks five-eighth James Maloney to win the Clive Churchill Medal.
“He’s the type of player similar to Benny Stewart.”
