Page became the first boy from a North Coast squad to be selected for a New South Wales squad for a trip to Western Australia in August.
The state side contested the national championships which won the entire tournament, defeating South Australia in the final.
They played a total of six matches.
After being the first boy from this area to be selected in the team, the promising youngster is now the first from the North Coast region to be a part of the winning state side.
The quietly spoken 12-year-old said the national tournament experience was a good one.
“I reckon I matched up pretty well with the Sydney boys in the team,” he said.
“And that’s pretty important for me.”
While he didn’t find the back of the net, Page set up several goals throughout the tournament.
The New South Wales team was probably harder to get into than the West Ham academy.

They played each state once, culminating in a 5-1 hammering of the South Australians in the final.
“If we had have drawn that match we would have had to share the overall prize and trophy,” Page said.
“The whole team played as good as the other teams so it was good to beat them.”
Page has already achieved things most players or football fans could only dream of.
On June 15 Page turned 12, but he’s already visited English Premier League stadiums such as Old Trafford and Anfield.
He toured the United Kingdom as part of the West Ham United Oceania Academy in September last year and trialled for the Sydney FC development squad in July.
When asked how his Western Australian sojourn compared to his West Ham experience he said it was difficult to compare the two.
“The New South Wales team was probably harder to get into than the West Ham academy because it’s the best players in the state,” he said.
“But it was good to play with the best in the state.”
The youngster now has a couple of weeks off before trials for the National Premier League representative side commence.
It means the back fence at the Page household could get a slight rest before the season starts again.
