The choir is based in Canberra, but the general manager is former Port Macquarie resident Lilly Hannock. She attended SCAS, where she played flute and sang in the school’s choirs.
With this first tour, the group hopes to get Luminescence known outside of Canberra. Descent into Madness and features guest conductor Gordon Hamilton; a new work by Alice Chance composed especially; and works by Gesualdo, Elliot Gyger, Katy Abbott and Rob Davidson. “It is a dramatic concert which juxtaposes chaos and clarity; the scary and the silly,” says Hannock.
