After winning their regional competitions in their chosen categories, the largest contingent of competitors ever for the North Coast will join nearly 500 other competitors in 50 skill categories over three days at the Melbourne Showground.
North Coast TAFE have fielded 18 competitors in 10 categories. Joining them are 7 competitors in the VET in Schools competition, who were also sent off on the night. North Coast TAFE is also sending 21 staff members as either team leaders, mentors or judges.
National Gold medalist in 2014, hairdresser Gemma Edwards from Port Macquarie, gave an inspirational address to the competitors, reminding them to pay attention to every detail so that they could gain the winning edge - and to enjoy the experience.
