Meals on Wheels Mid North Coast branch (MOW MNC) celebrated by introducing a wider audience to its menus, respected reputation and growing social inclusion programs.
Every client received a lovely bookmark and a special cupcake with their meals.
MOW MNC took to the streets at key locations in Camden Haven, Taree, Forster, Wauchope, South West Rocks and Sawtell.
Staff promoted the wholesome quality, great taste and variety of MOW’s food and services at public exhibits in local shopping centres.
Chief Executive Officer John Carroll said they wanted people to know more about their three key aims.
“To deliver delicious, value for money, nutritious meals to our clients; to assist those clients to stay in their own homes where they are most happy and comfortable; and to provide regular social contact when our volunteers deliver the meals and when we host a growing number of social activities for our clients,” he said.
“We want to show through these celebrations that we are constantly improving, delivering great food, retaining our core values and doing it with respect and care.”
On the Mid North Coast, Meals on Wheels deliver in excess of 140,000 meals each year and employ almost 1,000 staff and volunteers.
