Proudly presented by Port Macquarie-Hastings Council, this year’s festival promises 3 days of culinary celebration showcasing our regional farmers, artisans, food producers, wine growers, brewers, restaurants and cafes.
The community can also enjoy a range of satellite events, indulge in celebrity chef dinners, cooking demonstrations, a Harvest Lunch, Saturday night festival and the main event. During the popular main event on Sunday 30 October, volunteers are needed to help with ticketing at entry gates, directing visitors, staffing the information tent, collecting surveys and encouraging recycling. All you need is a friendly nature, love of food and helpful attitude.
This year The Women’s Shed and Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service are generously donating around 30 volunteers each, however more volunteers are needed to help bring the culinary celebration to life.
If you’re looking to add a dash of spice to your resume, keen to get some event experience or simply love good food and a great day out, then email your interest to necia@tastingsonhastings.com.au.
After registering, volunteers will attend an Information Session for a rundown on their responsibilities.
Short shifts of three hours give everyone time to enjoy the day, and Tastings on Hastings aprons and hats will be provided thanks to Volunteer Sponsor, Holiday Coast Credit Union.
Being a part of the event team provides an opportunity to meet likeminded people, give back to the local community and enjoy a close-up perspective of the region’s premier food festival.
Tastings on Hastings 2016 will occur over three action-packed days between Friday 28 and Sunday 30 October.
