It brought to an end the 2016 Primary Play Day program.
Participating classes have been busy rehearsing and honing their acting skills in order to show their incredible performance pieces to all their peers.
The 2016 Primary Play Day program was a success again in its third year running. Earlier in the year participating students spent a day developing a performance piece with an experienced drama tutor knowing that they would be able to perform it at the Glasshouse.
Co-ordinator, Bianca Bateman, said the program had an increase in classes participating from the last 2 years.
“The performance day was a great success. I could tell that the classes rehearsed extensively this year. Character development and vocal projection stood out. The kids really took on board what was taught during the workshops”, said Miss Bateman.
“It’s great to see students and teachers alike getting excited about drama, because I feel it’s often forgotten in the school curriculum.”
Schools that participated in the program were Kendall Public, Beechwood Public, Port Macquarie Public, Wauchope Public, Tacking Point Public, North Haven Public, Lake Cathie Public and Hastings Public.
