The day was an attempt to raise funds for The Kids Cancer Project and, due to all of the fantastic players and parents, the Hastings Valley Netball Association will be sending a cheque to the project to the value of $591.50.
The association wished to thank all the players, coaches, umpires and officials that donned their crazy socks and coloured hair.
Congratulations to all the Netta and returning Netta teams that have wrapped up their season with a special presentation after their final games.
This weekend sees the beginning of the semi-finals and all clubs have been notified of game times.
Teams finishing first and second will play off for a place in the grand final and teams finishing third and fourth play sudden death, with the losers dropping out of the race in 2016.
Good luck to all teams that have made the semi finals, including division two PC Silver Jets. The Silver Jets lost their final game last weekend, and thinking they were out, were seen saying their goodbyes to coaches and team mates.
After the results of other division two games filtered through, their coach was seen frantically messaging the girls letting them know they had, in fact, scrapped into fourth place.
Well done to all teams that didn’t progress to the semis this season. Not every team is able to qualify for the finals series, but the association do hope you have enjoyed your season.
They encourage you to keep practising and improving your skills ahead of next season.
