The business continues to attract strong crowds.
The team served about 1000 people on the kiosk’s busiest day since its opening in late May.
Salty Crew Kiosk’s Chris and Leasa Harris thanked community members for their overwhelming support.
“We are really happy with the response and support,” Chris said.
The couple is thinking ahead to the busy summer period.
The kiosk, which opened after Port Macquarie-Hastings Council upgraded the Marine Rescue and Town Beach kiosk building, has injected new life into the area.
Building work continues on the another council project, a kiosk and amenities near the skate park, which should be ready for the summer school holidays.
Leasa said the kiosk being built near the skate park was only going to be complementary.
Salty Crew Kiosk has built up a loyal following.
Customers have embraced consistent opening hours and healthy food choices.
Leasa said the community response to Salty Crew Kiosk had been brilliant.
“We are now trying to accommodate the volume and getting ready for summer,” she said.
Chris is feeling positive about summer.
The upcoming opening of their restaurant, Bills Fishhouse + Bar, will be another boost as the kitchen in the Clarence Street restaurant will help with Salty Crew Kiosk food preparation.
“The kitchen at the restaurant will be a game changer for us,” Chris said.
Bills Fishhouse + Bar is amid the fit-out ahead with an opening earmarked for the second week of September.
Recruitment is almost complete with one position remaining for an experienced chef.
Dom Smith is the head chef.
Chris said the restaurant vision was for good quality food and simple, casual dining with some sophistication.
The response to the kiosk has boosted the couple’s excitement about Bills Fishhouse + Bar.
