It came at the expense of the Port Macquarie Magpies, who were fighting for a spot in the grand final in both under-18s and seniors on Saturday in Coffs Harbour.
The Magpies were defeated in both grades, (15.7.97 to 10.9.69 in seniors and 17.12.114 to 5.6.36 in under 18s) meaning each team will now play against Sawtell Toormina Saints at the Coffs International Stadium this weekend.
The Breakers came out on top of a plucky Magpies outfit in front of a record semi final crowd for the seniors clash.
The match could be measured on the efforts of two returning stars.
For Port, all eyes were on co-captain Jesse Schmidt and his heavily strapped right knee.
While his movement, pace, and efforts were all good, he was reliant on kicking with his non-preferred left foot and, as a result, couldn’t convert chances into points.
For the Breakers, Fraser Duryea turned in a best on ground performance to ensure the Breakers would create another slice of history.
Port were far from humbled and have plenty of positives to build upon for their preliminary final against Sawtell Toormina Saints.
In the reserve grade fixture Sawtell Toormina Saints (5.8.38) defeated Coffs Breakers (4.5.29).
