From 2.30pm Saturday July 30, all in the Camden Haven and beyond are invited to Bold Street to enjoy a winter wonderland.

Businesses along central Bold Street Laurieton will showcase some bargains, have street stalls and are pulling out all stops to decorate their shopfront windows in the festive theme.

Four snow machines will cast a sprinkling of winter fun over the central Christmas tree at the intersection of Bold and Seymour Streets.

All are invited to come along to explore the main street, bag a bargain, enjoy the extended trading hours and soak up the atmosphere with family and friends.

There will be plenty to eat, drink, see and do for young and old alike.

Naturally, Santa will arrive by fire truck to visit the event, accompanied by his elves.

Word on the street is Santa may have a few surprise activities planned for the event as well as leading the conga line.

Get involved with the business mascots, like the Wiggly Tail pig, as they line up behind Santa to set a record for the longest conga line.

Last year around 2,500 people attended the first ever Christmas in July event – so expect the conga line to be massive and join in!

Raffle tickets are now on sale around the Laurieton CBD and some fantastic prizes are on offer. 

Money raised from the raffle will go towards the Camden Haven Neighbourhood Centre  – a vital, volunteer-run community service for many people in the Camden Haven – and the running of the 2017 Christmas in July event.

Over $2,000 in prizes are up for grabs, thanks to the generosity of many local businesses, and winners will be drawn Saturday afternoon.

The annual Christmas in July celebration is presented by the Camden Haven Chamber of Commerce.

The main street will be closed to traffic from noon to allow for the set up of stalls and Christmas tree.

Festivities kick off at 2.30pm and run until 7.30pm, Saturday July 30.
