In those three games the Breakers have scored 68, 66 and 56 points as their attack starts to click at the right end of the season.
The only red mark in coach Digby Murray’s notebook in that time is a 20-12 defeat to Port Sharks in a game they probably could have won.
Despite the relatively easy wins in recent weeks, Murray is not concerned his side may not be match-hardened come semi-final time.
“I don’t think it’s going to be an issue because we really needed to improve our fitness and our confidence,” he said.
“That’s happened and our combinations in attack are getting better every week.”
In a consistent 80-minute performance the Breakers scored 28 points in each half.
Fullback Cody Robbins and centre Clint Walker both crossed for hat-tricks.
“They played exceptionally well and we could have scored more points, but eased off in the end.”
Murray was disappointed to let in a couple of tries where the players let the ball bounce.
“We let in a couple of soft tries at the end which I’m not happy about, but the performance was good,” he said.
The coach knows tougher tasks await his side in coming weeks.
“It’s been a blessing for us to know we can score points, but we are a work in progress.”
