The event also helped forge new friendships and provided enjoyment for members and visitors who viewed the huge display of quilts and also enjoyed the workshops featured throughout the event.
Timeless Quilters spokesperson Lee McGlashan said the three day event heightened the sharing of ideas and skills.
The quilt show featured a wonderful display of works created by the ladies from Timeless Quilters.
There was also a wide range of quality craft goods for sale together with interesting craft workshops allowing participants to gain or improve their craft skills.
And while sharing the knowledge of quilting is important to the group, they also have a strong community aspect.
This includes creating quilts to donate to local organisations and charities such as Baby Quilts for Port Macquarie Base Hospital’s Anti- Natal Unit, Geriatric Evaluation and Management Unit at the Base Hospital.
Quilts are also given to Nursing Home residents around Port Macquarie, the Children’s Ward and the Pink Ladies of Port Macquarie Base Hospital.
As well as giving to our local area the group has been working for many charities including the Melanoma Association; Australians for Women’s Health Project in Nepal; the Breast Cancer Council and Ovarian Cancer Association in Australia.
