On Tuesday, June 28, Sam Young-Wright and Juliette Barton were at Hastings Secondary College Port Macquarie Campus to give some tips to creative industries students.
Pupils from the Manning Valley Anglican College also made the bus trip to Port to attend the workshop.
“This is our regional tour so we love to connect with the local schools and do lots of workshops,” Sam said.
“We’re doing 18 steps around Australia so it’s really exciting. We’re off to Queenslands next.”
Sam said all of the students took their advice on board and had a lot of fun.
“All of the kids are great, they’re been really enthusiastic,” he said.
“It’s great to give them a taste of what we do in the company and handing that down.
“A lot of us started off in workshops and that’s what lighted the fire for us.
“To give that back and to touch base with the community is fantastic.”
The crew will perform tomorrow, Wednesday June 29, at 8pm at the Glasshouse.
Tickets are available from box office or online at www.glasshouse.org.au at $54.90 concession, $59.90 adults.
