Co-founder John Gilmour said the works are part of plans for the overall development.
The works include raising the level of the low-lying swamp land at the front of the resort in preparation for the planned connecting road back to the Lake Cathie shopping village.
“You would have noticed a mountain of earth on the western side of the development and this will be utilised to lift the level,” Mr Gilmour said.
“Once this work is completed we will be landscaping the full length of the development where it fronts the Ocean Drive.
“This work is part of our overall concept for the resort.”
With the land to the west to be developed in the near future, Mr Gilmour said the latest works were part of the greater Area 13 precinct.
Ocean Club Resort commenced just 40 months ago from a blank canvas with 250 residents already established or awaiting completion of their new home and 91 dwellings currently in construction.
The resort will continue to meet demand as required with about 550 residents eventually to reside in the popular community.
“Specifically, I’m proud to say that we have currently invested around $70 million into the local community and we employ well over A hundred of local people,” he said.
