Stalls are filling fast for the popular main event on Sunday, October 30, and limited opportunities for vendors are available at Tastings Ignites on the Saturday night.

“Tastings on Hastings offers a fantastic opportunity for local food and beverage businesses to showcase their products to the many thousands of locals and visitors who enjoy the festival each year,” said Port Macquarie-Hastings Mayor Peter Besseling.

“Over the past 14 years we’ve seen Tastings on Hastings grow to become one of the largest food festivals on the North Coast, and again we look forward to 3 days of indulging in the best our region has to offer.”

With many new and emerging producers and providores in the region, organisers hope to encourage a new wave of local food and beverage businesses. 

Vendor applications that fall within the ‘locavore’ boundary of a 100 mile radius are being welcomed. This encompasses everywhere from Woolgoolga in the north to Armidale in the west and Nelson Bay to the south.

“Tastings on Hastings is a unique, waterfront cultural and gastronomic experience and I strongly encourage local businesses to consider being involved,” said Cr Besseling.

Applications are open for several distinct precincts at the main event on Sunday including the Farmer’s Markets, the Restaurant Precinct, the Wine and Beer Precinct and the Maker’s Markets.

Event coordinator Necia Waghorn said exhibitors will be profiled on the Tastings on Hastings website and receive a free marketing toolkit to assist in making their involvement in the event a success.

“This toolkit includes exclusive access to a FREE face-to-face social media marketing seminar, posters, flyers, and regular email tips and tricks to help promote their participation,” said Ms Waghorn.
