The Charles Sturt University free public forum will include information about common anxiety disorders including obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder, agoraphobia and post traumatic stress disorder.
People will also learn about what helps recovery.
Associate Professor Rocco Crino will address the forum.
He has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders and related conditions.
Representatives from services will be there to provide information about how to access support on the Mid-North Coast.
People must RSVP to the forum by July 15.
The two-hour public forum begins at 6pm on July 19 at room 2064 at Charles Sturt University Port Macquarie Campus.
