On Wednesday and Thursday Hastings Public School students from year three, four, five and six will receive instruction about safe bike riding practice.
They will also have the chance to demonstrate their skills following a route set out on the netball court.
All students from these classes will receive the safety talk and watch the bike skills session.
Following the schools policy of not allowing students under ten years of age to ride bikes to school, only students ten and over will be permitted to undertake the riding section.
All students who bring their bikes to school will also need to ensure they have their helmets as these will be part of the bike check.
