General manager Bruce Potter said the feedback from the weekend is that it was well received.
“The whole concept behind this campaign is to let the kids be kids, let the coaches coach and let the match officials be referees.
“There was still support from parents and spectators, but the sidelines were noticeably quieter.
“Once parents and spectators actually see and experience the difference this campaign makes for the kids – how relaxed they are – it has an really good effect on the remainder of the season.”
Mr Potter said the campaign was part of referee appreciation round.
