Port Macquarie Community Gardens has been running a series of sustainability workshops at The
Lost Plot Community Garden since the beginning of the year.
The workshops provide participants with skills to reduce their impact on the environment in everyday life.
They are hands-on and practical.
The next workshop, which is in partnership with MidWaste, will focus on composting and worm farming.
The workshop is on June 25 from 11am at The Lost Plot in Central Road.
Participants will pay a $20 fee at the time of booking, which gives them access to a compost bin and aerator or worm farm and worms.
Sustainability Made Easy project officer Denis Juelicher said they were excited about being able to offer a workshop that not only gave participants the skills to convert their food scraps into a valuable resource for their garden but also let them take home the infrastructure they needed to do so at a highly subsidised rate.
Places at the workshop are limited.

This project is supported by the state government through its Environmental Trust.
