THERE is no cause for panic just yet at Port Saints after three rounds of the Football Mid North Coast Premier League.
That is despite the fact Saints are anchored to the bottom of the table.
Coach Mark Rogers believes having this weekend off has come at a good time after suffering three straight losses.
"It's been a pretty disastrous start to the season, there's no doubt about that," he said.
"And it's taken a little bit longer than I would have hoped to get those first points on the board, but as a coach sometimes you are over-optimistic about your chances."
He remains confident that with time the 2015 premiers will hit their stride.
"We have been poor in patches, but not throughout so we're striving for that consistency that every coach in every competition will say they're looking for. To do it for 15 minutes isn't good enough."
Rogers knew it would be a tough opening.
"Some of our players are still learning the standard required in this competition. There's no miracle solution, we just need to keep working hard," he said.
"There's no room for panic because that's not going to fix anything."
