PORT Macquarie Magpies aren't getting carried away with its undefeated start to the season.
Another challenge awaits them in Coffs Harbour on Saturday in the form of second-placed Coffs Breakers.
Coach Anthony Beasley remains wary of what performance his side will dish up with a risk they could start slow after a 204-point belting of Grafton and a weekend off to show in the last two rounds.
"That's the anxious part for me," Beasley said.
The top of the table clash provides an opportunity for the Magpies to make another statement to the rest of the competition.
"It gives us a chance to show everyone else there is a reason we're still where we are and it isn't a fluke," he said.
The Magpies coach expects a tougher challenge from the Breakers than what they showed in the round one encounter.
"They've picked up a couple of players since that match including a fullback and a full forward so they'll be a bit stronger," he said.
The Pies welcome back full-forward Jason Smith which will help take the pressure off Peter Cristoforo and Angus Scott.
"He's been away for a couple of seasons with a back injury so he'll take one of the fullbacks away from Peter or Angus which will leave them free," Beasley said.
"We need to forget about last week and focus on this week - it's a new game."
